HOME  >  SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS >  CHIN SCHOLARSHIP Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship General Information The Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship was established by the children of Shui Kuen and Allen Chin to honor the values of their parents. To transform the tragic death of their father Allen Chin into something positive, the children started this scholarship program. They would like to support undergraduate and graduate students who have worked at an Asian restaurant (Asian-owned or Asian cuisine) or have parents who worked or are working at one. One scholarship of $1,000 is offered each year. Criteria Current full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university Has worked or is currently working at an Asian restaurant (Asian-owned or Asian cuisine) or has at least one parent who has worked or is working at one Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Demonstrate financial need Preference will be given to students doing community service for the Asian American community U.S. citizen or permanent resident Application Information E-mail deadline for 2007-2008 scholarship applications: Friday, December 14, 2007 Part 1 -- Chin Scholarship Application Form Part 2 -- Statement of Non-Relationship Sample Resume Please review the instructions before completing the application form.
