Catherine Buan Peterson
Catherine was most recently Vice President, in charge of Investor Relations, for Business Objects, headquartered in California, Vancouver, and Paris. Catherine was brought on board to re-build the company’s investment community reputation following the billion dollar merger with Crystal.
As a result of a more effective strategy, the company’s market valuation appreciated over 100 percent to nearly $4 billion in less than 18 months. The company was also named for the first time in the top ten IR programs in Europe in 2005 and has won several design awards for their 2005 Annual Report.
Catherine has spent more than 15 years in the enterprise software industry. She began her career in software research at Robertson Stephens and Co., and has held several management roles in corporate development and corporate finance at both Oracle Corporation and Ariba, Inc. During that time, her departments received several awards from the AIMR (Association for Investment Management and Research) and Barron’s Magazine.
Catherine is currently the on the Board of the Silicon Valley American Red Cross and Board of Trustees for the Philippine Development Foundation
She holds a bachelors’ degree in Economics from Stanford University.
