Dr. Rolland and Kathy Lowe - Dr. Lowe, the first Asian American President of the California Medical Association, and his wife are long-time supporters of community non-profit agencies in the Chinese community.
In addition to being Chairman of the Foundation for Chinese Democracy and the Lawrence Choy Lowe Memorial Fund, Dr. Lowe is respected for his active involvement on the Boards of numerous foundations including, the CMA Foundation, the Council on Foundations, the San Francisco Foundation, and Northern California Grantmakers.
In 1997, the Lowes established a Charitable Trust with the Asian Pacific Fund and funded the trust with appreciated real estate. Creating the trust provided substantial tax benefits, will provide income for life, and will create a permanent resource for the community.
