Affiliate Agency Guidelines
1. Asian Character
a. Staff, Board of Directors, and beneficiaries (clients, participants, audience) of the organization are 51% Asian
2. Service Type
Organization provides service, public education, or advocacy programs:
a) services for youth or the elderly
b) health & human services
c) education (not including private schools)
d) environmental conservation
e) economic development
f) immigrant & legal services
g) culture and the arts
3. Service Region
Program beneficiaries (clients, participants, audience) are residents of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Solano counties.
4. Organizational Stability
a. Tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code
b. Annual budget of at least $25,000
c. Meets all applicable federal, state, and local registration & reporting requirements for not-for-profit organizations.
** Board Discretion **
At the discretion of the Board of Directors, an agency may be accepted as an affiliate if it does not meet all of the criteria but provides a specific service not provided by any other affiliate agency.
5. Participation
Affiliate agencies of the Asian Pacific Fund agree to meet the following obligations:
a. File required tax reports in a timely manner
b. Attend one Asian Pacific Fund meeting per year
c. Notify the Asian Pacific Fund of significant changes in management or programs.
d. Submit required information to confirm continuing eligibility as requested by the Asian Pacific Fund.
