Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund College Scholarship
Background:

- Amount: $5,000 (annual award)

- Total award: $20,000

Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four year-college or university in 2013-14
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Major: engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical science
- Ethnic heritage: Filipino heritage (at least 50%)
- Financial need
- Residency: Northern California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma or Stanislaus. Southern California counties: Los Angeles, Orange or San Diego.

Chin: Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: up to 2
- Amount: $1,000
- Renewable? No, however past recipients may apply
- Established in honor of Shui Kuen and Allen Chin
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate at a four-year college or university in 2013-14
- Self or parent currently or formerly employed at an Asian-owned or Asian cuisine restaurant
- Community advocacy and social justice work on behalf of Asian American, immigrant, gay and lesbian and/or other progressive causes
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Financial need
- No citizenship status requirement
Deadline: March 15, 2013
Chu: Jack and Jeanette Chu Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: 1-2
- Amount: $2,500-5,000
- Renewable? Yes, for a total of 2 years
- Total award: $5,000-10,000
Eligibility:
- Grade level: Incoming junior or junior transfer at UC Berkeley in 2013-14
- Major: Business Administration at Haas School of Business
- Career: Business
- Ethnic heritage: Asian (at least 50%), preference given to students of Chinese heritage
- Financial need ($100,000 maximum household income)
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Preference given to students with record of community service

Equilar Scholars Program
This program will not award new scholarships in 2013.
Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship

- Established in memory of Matt Fong, former California state treasurer
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming sophomore, junior or senior at a four-year college or university in 2013-14
- Must be enrolled in California college or university
- Major: Accounting, political science, public policy, business administration or related fields
- Ethnic heritage: Asian (at least 50%)
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Financial need
- Preference given to those with record of community service or volunteer work

Hsiao Memorial Economics Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: 1
- Amount: $1,000
- Renewable? No
- Established in honor of Liang-Lin Hsiao who was a professor of economics at Indiana State University
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Graduate student attending US based college or university in 2013-14
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Pursuing a graduate degree in economics
- Career: preference given to students pursuing a career in academia (teaching or research)
- Research/study topics: preference given to topics that benefit Asians or Asian Americans, especially those in social/economic need
- Ethnic heritage: Asian heritage (at least 50%), preference to students of Chinese descent
- U.S. citizen, resident or foreign national
- Financial need

Human Capital Scholarship

Lapiz Family Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: 2
- Amount: $1,000
- Renewable? Yes
- Total award: up to $4,000
- Established in honor of Apolonio and Arcadia Lapiz, who were farm workers
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate in 2013-14
- University: University of California (any campus, preference given to Davis and Santa Cruz)
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Farm worker or child of farm or migrant worker
- Financial need
- Any ethnic or racial background
- US citizen or permanent resident
Deadline: March 15, 2013
Philippine International Aid-Wells Fargo Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: up to 4
- Amount: up to $2,000
- Renewable? Yes, for a total of 2 years
Eligibility:
- Ethnic heritage: Filipino (at least 25%)
- Grade level: Incoming freshman at an accredited community college, technical college or four-year college/university in 2013-14
- College/university must be located in California
- Minimum GPA: 2.75
- Financial need
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Residency: Northern California with a preference for low income areas including, but not limited to, San Francisco, Northern San Mateo County, Oakland, Vallejo, the East Bay, South Bay, Stockton and Sacramento

Sang Chul Lee and Donald O. Cameron Memorial Scholarship
This program will not award new scholarships in 2013.
Seguritan: Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship
This program will not award new scholarships in 2013.
Wong: Helen and L.S. Wong Memorial Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: 1-4
- Amount: $1,000-3,000
- Renewable: Yes, for up to four years ($500 - $1,000)
- Total each award: $2,500 - 6,000
- To honor Helen and L.S. Wong, residents of the Fairfield-Suisun community
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four year-college/university or a community college in 2013-14
- incoming community college students should have a strong commitment to transfer to a four-year institution
- Minimum GPA: 2.8
- Graduate of high school in the Fairfield-Suisun communities
- Financial need
- Ethnic heritage: Asian heritage (at least 50%)
- US citizen or permanent resident
Deadline: March 15, 2013
Yuchengco: Maria Elena Yuchengco Memorial Journalism Scholarship
Background:
- Number of awards: 1-3
- Amount: $1,000-3,000
- Renewable? Yes
- Established in honor of Maria Elena Yuchengco, who graduated summa cum laude from University of San Francisco and was instrumental in the founding of Filipinas Magazine.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Grade level: Incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate at an accredited four-year college or university in 2013-14
- Major or Career: journalism
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Ethnic heritage: Filipino (at least 50%)
- Financial need
- Status: U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Residency: San Francisco Bay Area

Tina E. Yeh Community Service Fellowship (For Yale students)
General Information:
- Two $3,000 - 5,000 fellowship grants are available for Yale students who will intern for 10 weeks at a non-profit organization that serves Asians (in the U.S. or Canada). The host organization must be tax-exempt and have at least one paid full-time employee.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Yale undergraduate or recent graduate
- Asian ethnic heritage (at least 50%)
- Financial need
