Jerry Yang and Akiko Yamazaki - Long before achieving success as the co-founder of Yahoo!, Jerry believed--as did his wife, Akiko Yamazaki—that it’s never too early to start giving back to the community.
Jerry and Akiko support the Fund through support of the Annual Campaign which enables them to help people in many communities and with diverse needs.
Jerry and Akiko are supporters of many Bay Area education and arts organizations, such as the Asian Art Museum, East Asian Library (UC Berkeley), and San Francisco Ballet. Jerry and Akiko have also been major supporters of Stanford University, their alma mater.

We respect the diversity among Asian Americans and we strive to be responsive to the needs in each community. Although many of our donors support charities across a broad range of communities and needs, they often have personal priorities they want to address. Donors, through us, can learn about needs in Asian communities that they did not know existed. The Fund monitors issues in the Asian community and also receives professional advice in evaluating which programs and organizations to support.
