Marketing & Communications Manager
Nichole Wong comes from a background in journalism. Most recently she worked at Mother Jones magazine where she wrote and did research on politics, the environment and culture. She earned a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), pursuing a concentration in International Media and Communications. While in school, Nichole was editor in chief of the SIPA newspaper, and completed internships at CNN and The New York Times Syndicate.
Prior to graduate school, Nichole was a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin, West Africa. She worked on community health programs targeted at combating malaria, AIDS and childhood malnutrition. She partnered with women’s groups to start income generating projects, planting moringa trees and using their leaves to produce nutritious products geared toward infants and children.
Nichole went to Brown University where she majored in Economics and International Relations. She was born in San Francisco and lived in Hong Kong for ten years.
